Nexy Projection Screens are based on a patented technology designed to block ambient light and display only the projected image. This image expands to reveal a close-up of the Nexy Black Shelves as viewed under a high-resolution scanner. Note the small triangular shelves that have been inked on one side and left clear on the other. The result is a screen surface that is gentle on the eyes and reflects less than 0.06% of ambient light. Viewing angles of 160° allow viewers to see your presentation from a distance, with none of the unwanted sparkle effect that is typical of lesser screens. Nexy Projection Screens provide rich high-contrast images in settings that would otherwise require draped windows and dimmed lights. Nexy Black Shelves are combined with either a translucent Diffusion Film for rear projection or a Reflective Layer for front projection. This image expands to show the Nexy Black Shelves applied directly to the Reflective Layer. Both the configuration and location of the projector is critical to the performance of the Nexy Splendid. Only projectors defined as ultra-short throw that are capable of creating a 60" to 100" image within a metre of the projection surface will work with the Nexy Splendid. This is of course an ever-changing list, but currently Sanyo and Dell are among manufacturers who offer such projectors. This image expands to show an 80" Nexy Splendid Front Projection Screen that demonstrates how the ultra-short throw projector works in combination with the unique Black Shelf technology. The image presents an impressive contrast in the black tires against the white background. Nexy Front Projection Screens are offered in both small to large format custom sizes and in standard rolls measuring up to 10 metres in length. We also offer Nexy that has been factory-applied to acrylic panels in sizes from 60" to 80" diagonal. Delivery from the date of placing your Nexy order is typically 2-3 weeks. Screen Gain Chart
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projection_screen: One of the most often quoted properties in a home theater screen is the gain. This is a measure of reflectivity of light compared to a screen coated with magnesium carbonate or titanium dioxide, when the measurement is taken for light targeted and reflected perpendicular to the screen. Titanium dioxide is a bright white colour, but greater gains can be accomplished with materials that reflect more of the light parallel to projection axis and less off-axis. Frequently quoted gain levels of various materials range from 0.8 of light grey matte screens to 2.5 of the more highly reflective glass bead screens, some manufacturers claiming even higher numbers for their products. Installation OptionsNexy Splendid can be specified in a variety of roll lengths and custom widths and is supplied with the Reflective Film already attached. Either a factory or bespoke frame can be used to mount the Nexy Splendid which is then installed either on a wall or suspended using floor-to-ceiling cabling. We recommend the use of a Qualified Professional to assist in any application. Projector Orientation To Nexy SurfaceNexy Splendid will only work using an ultra-short throw projector positioned at the bottom base of the screen. Note that the Nexy Splendid only performs properly with the Black Shelves facing upward. Standard Rolls
